Keith Colver and David Fitzpatrick from the Scottish Ambulance Service worked in conjunction with SHIL and Lightweight Medical to produce an innovative solution to restraining critically ill children in ambulances. They recieved the Scottish Health Innovations Ltd (SHIL) Award for best innovation originating from NHS Scotland at this year's life sciences annual dinner and awards. The award was presented by Rhona Allison, senior director of life sciences at Scottish Enterprise and Nicola Sturgeon, Scottish minister for health and wellbeing.
